This pathway involves the development, maintenance and design of web sites. Students will learn to create, design and produce interactive multimedia products and services that include digitally-generated or computer-enhanced media. Students will have the opportunity to learn how to create and manage a fully functional, interactive web site. Having skills related to the Web can lead to many opportunities. If you are a writer, you can write copy for web pages - if you are an artist, you can design or create – if you are a programmer, you can work as a web developer.
The publishing industry requires management of all facets of copyright administration and exploitation. This includes music rights, print rights, and digital rights across the spectrum of intellectual property embedded in recordings, magazines, books, films, and newspapers. Understanding the fundamentals of the ever-changing world mechanical and performance royalties is especially essential in today’s digital environment. This pathway also teaches the development of talent and the placement of their creative work (songs, creative writing, articles, etc.) in the public marketplace.
Personal Care Services – Stylist & Image Consulting
Individuals with careers in personal care services assist clients with their personal appearance, including developing a unique style/image; shampooing, cutting, coloring and styling hair; giving manicures, pedicures, and scalp and facial treatments; providing makeup analysis; cleaning and styling wigs and hairpieces; and providing personal fitness training. Students are able to prepare for a career such as make-up artist, platform artist, hair stylist, or product line representative.
Recording industry careers include promotion, marketing, Artist & Repertoire, sales, distribution, artist and venue management, and financial management. Individuals learn the structures and processes involved from concept to realization of a recording artist’s career.
