The Vanderbilt Center for Science Outreach has awarded six MNPS middle school science teachers membership to the National Science Teachers Association (NSTA). With this award, the teachers will have the opportunity to attend the NSTA Area Conference on Science Education at the Gaylord Opryland Conference Center in December. The six teachers are: David Brangenberg at Wright MS, Patsy Buckner at Meigs Magnet, Bill Hunnicutt at Wright MS, Elisabeth Lee Martin at J.T. Moore MS, Jessica Oliver at Creswell Arts Magnet, and Carrie Page at Margaret Allen MS.

These teachers will also team up to conduct presentations sharing what they learned at a conference with other science teachers on Wednesday, January 26, 2011.
