Jobs for Tennessee Graduates (JTG) is administered locally by Pencil Foundation and implemented at Pearl-Cohn by Job Specialist, Mrs. Phyllis Moore. JTG is a school-to-career program implemented in 700 high schools, alternate schools, community colleges and middle schools across the country. JTG's mission is to keep young people in school through graduation and to provide work-base learning experiences that lead to career advancement opportunities and/or to enroll in a post-secondary institution for a rewarding career.
JTG is offered as an elective credit to senior students who were recruited during their junior year in school. During the course of the class, students are provided job readiness instruction, opportunities for leadership development, intervention to aid school completion and post-graduation assistance.
